San Pedro de Atacama

During the tour to San Pedro de Atacama a transfer will pick up the passengers (at approximately 8:00 hours) moving them to Tobalaba Airport, from where the plane will take off northbound. Once at the target height, the flight will follow the Cordillera de los Andes, with a chance to having a close view of the Aconcagua mountain, the highest in Latin America, 6,962 meter high. Likewise, the Mercedario mountain (6,770 meter high) will be overflown, 100 km. north of the Aconcagua, one of the highest of the Andes too. Then the west side of the San Juan city on the Argentine territory will be crossed: Continuing northbound, already over the Atacama desert, the El Salvador mine will be seen; this is an underground deposit known for its copper wealth since the Inca empire. Finally, before arriving in San Pedro, the Pedernales salt deposit will be seen, located in a depression between mountains that forms lagoons in its interior margins with turquoise blue waters. Now landing will take place at the San Pedro de Atacama airport, where a transfer will pick up passengers and take them to the Hotel & Spa Tierra Atacama.
